LITERACY or the Ability to Read
If you are reading this blog, perhaps you are literate, perhaps you are not, perhaps you speak a foreign language, such as Spanish. It matters. It matters, because you will need this ability to know how to read and learn. This can be a difficult task, but if you find a way to understand what you read, you will succeed and get what you need.
You do not have to write well. You simply must be able to read words and sentences.
DICTIONARY
If you are able to read, then there is only one book you need right now: THE DICTIONARY. And whether you read well or not, The dictionary is the best bet to help you help yourself through tough times.
If you are not at the Library and somehow are reading this blog, go to the Library and become familiar with The Dictionary (whether it is English or Spanish).
If you only speak Spanish and live in America, you must be able to talk in English and eventually read and write in English. This is IMPORTANT to succeed, to get your next meal, shelter, and job.
You do not need to buy a dictionary or even check out a dictionary (for some stupid reason you can't at libraries). You can go to www.dictionary.com.
Computers
As you read this from some computer out there in the terrible awful world, or from a friend's computer, or the library, this means you can read. This means also that you can become familiar with Computers. Meals, Shelters, Jobs, they all start with the knowledge to learn. And the Dictionary and Computers will help you learn. And with the ability to learn how to read, use a dictionary, and a computer, you will be able to get your next meal, money, and job.
HOPE
This is a promise, a promise of hope. There is hope. And if you believe in this hope, you will get food, shelter, and job.
